Save the Date! Art in the Park 2017 - July 8 & 9, 2017

Same weekend as the Hot Air Balloon Rodeo just minutes away, these events offer artistry and color both on canvases and in the air making this weekend a staple of Steamboat Springs, Colorado in the summertime!  

Art in the Park is free to the public and features nearly 160 artist vendors, live entertainment, food vendors, and an interactive children’s art area. This popular and successful event takes place on July 8th and 9th over Hot Air Balloon Rodeo Weekend, which draws large crowds through a weekend of fun and excitement. Around 10,000 people attend our festival located in West Lincoln Park, on the west end of downtown Steamboat Springs in beautiful Northwest Colorado.

Artist Registrations

Art in the Park 2017 is the 43rd annual art festival held in beautiful Steamboat Springs, CO. This Summer tourist destination draws art collectors from all over. The Steamboat Springs Arts Council invites you to apply to be one of the 160 artists Art in the Park. Regular application deadline is May 15, 2017 for artist vendors.

ARTIST VENDOR APPLICATION 

Late applications are accepted with additional fee and placed onto a wait list with no guarantee of acceptance. Acceptance of late applications shall be determined by the Steamboat Springs Arts Council.

Food Vendors

10,000 Attendees and 160 artists will work up an appetite at Art in the Park. Art in the Park strives to provide a wide array of culinary offerings to satisfy palettes of all ages. Please fill out the application and sent to Beth. Submission deadline is May 22, 2017. Jurying will proceed and notification of acceptance will be given May 26, 2017. Booth fee is $400. Booth fee must be received by May 31, 2017. Food Vendor Application and Single Event Sales Tax License Application (Required if you do not hold a current City of Steamboat Sales Tax License).

Music and Entertainment

Art in the Park offers live music and entertainment throughout the weekend between 11am-5pm. Submissions can be sent to Beth. Please provide the following: • Name of your group/solo act • Website • Style of music • 1-2 mp3/mp4's that represents your group/solo act • Include your fees (Travel and expenses are not included) • Include dates and times available (1-hour time slots, both days are preferred July 8 and 9, 2017) Submission deadline is June 1, 2017.

Volunteer Opportunities

We are looking volunteers for beer and wine servers, entrance gate volunteers, kidzone activity area, set-up, entertainment and information booth.  All of our volunteers recieve t-shirts, beer coupons and an outpouring of gratitude. Contact Beth for more information.

Non-Profit Booth Space

A limited number of booth spaces for local and regional non-profit organizations will be offered. Non-profit booth spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Acceptance of non-profit booth is at the sole discretion of the Steamboat Springs Arts Council. If you would like information about a non-profit booth space, please contact Beth.
